INGREDIENTS
- 1 Cup Della Jasmine White Rice
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 clove of ginger
- 1 carrot, diced
- 2 cups (480ml) beef broth
- 2-3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- ½ cup canned peas
- 1tsp of sesame seed
- green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Step 1
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.
- Add the diced onion, minced garlic, and carrot to the skillet. Sauté for a few minutes until the vegetables start to soften.
- Stir in the rice, beef broth, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well.
Step 2
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover the skillet and simmer for about 15 minutes.
Step 3
- Stir in the frozen peas and cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and the liquid is absorbed.
- Remove from heat and let it sit, covered, for a few minutes. Fluff the rice with a fork.
Step 4
- Serve the Asian-inspired rice and beef skillet hot, and garnish with sliced green onions. Enjoy!
