Japanese-Style 5 Minute Egg Rice

INGREDIENTS
- 1 Cup Della Jasmine Rice
- 1 large egg (plus 1 optional egg yolk)
- 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce, to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon mirin (optional)
- Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
- Pinch MSG powder, Aji-no-moto (optional)
- Pinch Hondashi
- ¼ cup Furikake, any flavor, to taste
- Thinly sliced nori to taste (optional)

Rinse & prep the Della Jasmine Rice as instructed.

Start by putting some rice in a bowl and making a little hole in the middle. Crack a whole egg into that hole. Then, add a little bit of soy sauce, mirin, MSG, Hondashi, a pinch of salt, and pepper on top of the egg.

Use chopsticks to mix everything up really well until the egg looks light yellow, foamy, and fluffy. Taste it and add more seasoning if you need to.

Now, sprinkle some furikake and nori on top if you want. If you have another egg yolk, you can put it on top too. Enjoy!
