INGREDIENTS
- 3/4 Cup Della Basmati Brown Rice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 green onion sliced as garnish
- 1 large yellow onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 28oz can diced tomatoes
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1/2 tsp salt, to taste
- 1/4 tsp black pepper, to taste
Step 1
- Make the Della Basmati Brown Rice as shown (1 cup of rice, 1 cup water, 1 tbsp butter, and salt to taste). Prep vegetables and garnish.
Step 2

Step 3
- Add in the diced onion, white part of green onion, and garlic and cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, or until the onion begins to soften.
- Add the tomato paste, oregano, and the rest of the salt and pepper. Stir until the onion is coated, continuing to cook over medium heat for 2 minutes.
- Add the beef broth and tomatoes and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until thickened to your liking.
- Add the cooked ground beef and brown rice into the pan. Cook on low heat for 3-5 minutes. Season with salt to taste.
