Skillet Orange Porkchop & Basmati Rice

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Cup Della Basmati White Rice
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 bone-in pork chops
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 tsp orange zest
  • 3 tbsp fresh parsley
  • 3-6 orange slices
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Extra Parsley for garnish

Step 1

  • Prep the veges. 
  • Add some garlic powder, salt & pepper to coat the pork chops on both sides.

Step 2

  • Add in onion and Della Basmati & White Rice to the skillet to saute the onion and roast the rice for a few minutes. Stir in chicken broth, orange juice, orange zest, and parsley and stir. Add on the pork chop on top and heat to a boil. Then reduce the heat to low for 20 minutes and let is simmer until the rice is tender.

Step 3

  • Sprinkle with parsley, salt & pepper as needed and serve immediately. Enjoy!
