Basmati Mushroom Rice

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Cup Della Basmati White Rice
  • 8 oz. mushrooms
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 3-4 Tbsp butter, divided
  • 1/4 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper 
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1.5 cups vegetable broth
  •  fresh parsley

Step 1

  • Prep the vegetables.

    Add 2 tbsp of butter into s skillet on medium heat.

Step 2

  • Add in mushroom, stir frequently. Then add in garlic and saute until fragrant. Add in rice and roast for a minute or 2.

    Add in the other tbsp of butter and dry seasonings. Stir to combine.

    Pour vegetable broth on and let it get to a boil. Then put a lid on top, turn heat down to low and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes. Then take off heat and let the rice rest for 5 minutes to absorb flavoring.

Step 3

  • Serve onto plate with parsley and parmesan. Enjoy!
