INGREDIENTS
- 1 Cup Della Jasmine Rice
- 1/2 lb beef, sliced thinly
- 1 cups broccoli, cut into bite-size pieces
- 1 tbsp canola oil
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
Beef and Broccoli Sauce:
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, minced
- 1/2 cup hot water or ½ cup beef stock
- 2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- ½ tbsp sesame oil
Step 1
- Prep vegetables. Combine the pressed garlic, ginger, hot water, soy sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, and sesame oil. Whisk to combine and set it aside.
Step 2
- Grab a pan, turn to medium heat and add in sesame seeds. Toast for 2-3 minutes or until golden. Remove and set aside.
Step 3
- Heat a skillet over medium heat with 1 tbsp of canola oil. Add the sliced broccoli and cook until it softens. Remove it from the skillet and set it aside.
- Slice the beef into long, thin strips. Add 1 tbsp of canola oil to the same skillet where you cooked the broccoli. Add the beef and cook until it turns golden brown.
- Pour the prepared sauce over the beef and bring it to a light simmer.
- Add the cooked broccoli back to the skillet. Stir to combine everything together and cook for about 3 minutes.
Step 4
- Serve the Beef and Broccoli over rice with toasted sesame seeds and green onions on top. Enjoy!
