INGREDIENTS
- 1 Cup Della Jasmine Rice
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- 1 white or yellow onion, diced
- ½ carrot julienned
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- ¼ cup low sodium soy sauce
- 1 ½ cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tsp minced ginger
- ¾ tsp red pepper flakes
- 2 tsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp green onion
- 1 Tsp sriracha *Optional*
Step 1
- Prep vegetables. Combine soy sauce, minced garlic, minced ginger, red pepper flakes, and brown sugar in a bowl. Whisk to combine and set it aside.
Step 2
- Heat sesame oil in a large soup pot over medium heat.
- Add the diced onion and cook until it becomes translucent. Add the ground beef to the pot and cook until it is browned and cooked through.
Step 3
- Once the beef is cooked, stir in the rice, beef broth, and soy sauce mixture. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Reduce the heat to medium-low and cover the pot with a tight-fitting lid. Let it simmer for 18-22 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and has absorbed the liquid.
- Remove the pot from the heat and let it sit for 8-10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the rice to fully absorb the liquid.
Step 4
- Serve the One-Pot Beef Fried Rice immediately, garnished with carrot, sriracha and fresh spring onion. Enjoy!
